On December 18, Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman had a phone conversation with President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Anne Brasseur.
Groysman informed about the course of reforms in Ukraine and positive contribution of the Ukrainian Parliament in this process. In turn, Anne Brasseur expressed support to efforts taken by the Verkhovna Rada and confidence that one of the key priorities for the nearest future would be the amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine touching the decentralization of power, which were supported by the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission). The Parties also agreed that the said amendments have decisive importance for successful democratic future of Ukraine.to be continued...
